Do you ever look around at people who only care about how to spend their money buying the latest electronics, new SUVs or expensive jewelry and wonder why them? They don't follow God they follow the world ... so why is God blessing them?
Asaph, who was a psalmist in the time of David and Solomon, was definitely tempted. "For I was envious of the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked." -- Psalm 73:3(ESV)
We may not admit it like Asaph, but many of us have similar thoughts, especially this time of the year.
Do you ever get discouraged? Do you ever just get tired of trying to follow God in a world of people who aren’t? Are you ever tempted to relent and embrace the world a bit more, too?
When we face that choice whether to embrace God or embrace the world, we must remember—we’re part of something much larger, much more important than new SUVs, big houses or vacations.
"And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever" -- 1John 2:17
Talk about your thoughts & feelings with God and your fellow Brothers & Sisters in Christ .... when we are open it undermines the power of satan.
